Job Overview

CAMBA is a community-driven organization that provides holistic services to help struggling New Yorkers stabilize their lives and become self-sufficient. Our Workforce Development and Refugee Services programs annually provide thousands of low-income community members with culturally competent case management, employment, education, vocational training, benefits access, health, financial literacy, and English language services.

Job Summary

The Specialized Employer Partnership Developer will research and initiate contact with potential employers in the NY Metro area, develop and maintain an accurate database of prospective employer contact information, and build a pool of job openings in various sectors. This role will also maintain excellent relationships and timely communication with potential employers, identify and source partnership opportunities, and supervise a team of Job Developers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and initiate contact with potential employers in the NY Metro area.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate database of prospective employer contact information.
  • Build a pool of job openings in various sectors.
  • Maintain excellent relationships and timely communication with potential employers.
  • Identify and source partnership opportunities.
  • Supervise a team of Job Developers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and two (2) years of experience in job development or recruitment.
  • Proven track record of career-level job development with established employer contacts in fields such as finance, IT, healthcare, education, and engineering.
  • One (1) year of staff supervisory experience required.
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent ability to network with employers and community partners to generate outcomes for clients.
  • Communicates effectively verbally and in-writing with proven experience delivering presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • Strong documentation skills, including an ability to accurately record client information and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Able to multi-task and work effectively in fast-paced, high-volume, and deadline-driven environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with refugees, asylees, immigrant, low-income, and young adult job seekers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
  • Bilingual preferred in Ukrainian, Russian, Creole, Spanish, or French (prioritized according to program needs).
