Job Overview:
As an Electrical Transmission Planning Specialist at GTT, LLC, you will be responsible for designing and developing comprehensive transmission planning strategies to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of power grids. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical transmission systems, including knowledge of power flow, transient stability, and short-circuit analysis.

About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Transmission Planning Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in transmission system planning, design, and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex studies, analyzing data, and providing recommendations to clients on transmission system improvements. The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive transmission planning strategies to ensure reliable and efficient operation of power grids.
  • Analyze data and perform complex studies to identify areas for improvement in transmission systems.
  • Provide recommendations to clients on transmission system improvements, taking into account cost, technical feasibility, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and clients, to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and at least 3 years of experience in transmission system planning, design, and operations. A Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience may also be considered. Additionally, you should have experience with industry software such as PSS/E, PSLF, EMTP/ATP, PSCAD, SKM, ETAP, and Promod. The location for this position is Wallingford, CT.
