">Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced electrical engineer to join our team and work on high-voltage electrical substation design projects. You will be responsible for leading and executing various tasks, including proposal preparation, cost estimation, physical substation design, protection and control design, and coordination with other departments.

Your expertise in National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE / ANSI Standards will be valuable assets in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare engineering cost and labor estimates and schedules.
  • Physical substation design, including yard layouts, plans, sections, details, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, interior and exterior raceways, auxiliary AC/DC power systems, and associated bills of material.
  • Protection and control design, including panel arrangements, one lines/single lines, three lines, AC schematics, DC elementaries, equipment wiring, and relay panel wiring.
  • Preparing calculations and reports for engineering studies (grounding, lightning protection, AC/DC load studies, etc.).
  • Preparing equipment specifications for procurement and/or factory acceptance testing.
  • Coordinating design activities with other departments (Civil/Structural, Networks, Transmission Line, others).
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program and minimum 3 years related experience. Completion of FE exam is strongly preferred. Proficiency with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE / ANSI Standards is essential.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $160,000 - $250,000 per year, based on location and experience. Our extensive benefits package takes care of you so that you can focus on doing great work.
