Security Systems Technician

Join a dynamic and expanding security team at Visionaire Partners, a leading name in the security integration industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install, configure, test, repair, and maintain a variety of systems and equipment, including security, fire alarm, life safety, and building automation systems, with necessary guidance.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications to independently determine installation procedures, seeking assistance for more complex tasks as needed.
  • Operate systems to demonstrate equipment functionality, commission new systems, analyze performance, and troubleshoot malfunctions. Develop routine programming for systems.
  • Provide exceptional service to customers, ensuring their satisfaction at all times.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to address unique challenges in system operation, maintenance, and warranty issues.
  • Offer insights to management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, installation methods, and potential product enhancements.
  • Manage technical aspects of multiple projects with varying timelines and budgets, including programming, graphics development, start-up, certification testing, customer training, and ongoing technical support.
  • Identify potential project risks, communicate them to relevant parties, and assist in formulating strategies to mitigate impacts and control deviations from budget and deadlines.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Operations Managers to coordinate specific projects, providing recommendations on work quality and potential scope changes, while continuously seeking ways to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.

This position requires on-site presence daily, covering a wide service area. The role offers a company vehicle upon permanent employment, along with tools, PPE, uniforms, a cell phone, and a laptop.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in servicing access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, and related systems.
  • Proficiency in programming various systems such as Lenel, Genetec, Milestone, Software House, Amag, Avigilon, DMP, etc.
  • Relevant certifications.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with experience using hand and power tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience or certifications in Genetec and Lenel.
  • Alarm contractor's license.
