Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Customer Service Specialist to join our team at TEKsystems. As a Healthcare Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers, ensuring seamless communication and resolution of patient accounts and billing inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Process patient referrals and verify demographic and insurance information
  • Perform patient account management duties, including obtaining prior authorization and processing items in work queues
  • Communicate with external government payors and employers as necessary
  • Work directly with patients on billing-related matters and provide fee estimates for medical services

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service or patient account management
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards
