Job Description

Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team at NR Consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all procurement and materials management activities, including order placement, supplier reduction/evaluation/certification, supplier follow-up, price negotiation, and compliance with government procurement regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement and Materials Management: Lead and manage all procurement and materials management activities, including order placement, supplier reduction/evaluation/certification, supplier follow-up, price negotiation, and compliance with government procurement regulations.
  • Production Planning: Matrix responsibilities for Production Planning's manufacturing resource-planning activities, maintaining 100% on-time customer deliveries, and ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and ownership.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Monitor shipping/receiving performance, investigate discrepancies, and resolve/eliminate process deficiencies.
  • Inventory Management: Utilize corporate developed tracking systems, such as phconnect, PFEP, and S&OP, to manage inventory and ensure accurate data.
  • Supply Chain Strategy: Help define and implement automated systems to plan and track material flow from customers through procurement to delivery, supporting a supply chain management strategy.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Ensure all location(s) material management policies are consistent with the inventory control objectives of the Corporation.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with divisional materials personnel to maintain continuity with purchasing and supplier management processes, facilitate corporate purchasing and materials initiatives, and advise on supplier-managed inventory or supplier-based contracts with customers.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and manage department budget within established guidelines, create and sustain procurement to delivery material and system cost reduction programs, and provide professional development for all materials team members.
  • Continuous Improvement: Benchmark world-class supplier management systems, implement best practices, and actively support and implement lean principles at the division.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years applicable purchasing/materials management experience in a world-class, high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Education: Four-year college degree in business, engineering, or materials management required, with certification in materials management and quality preferred.
  • Skills: Analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities, excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts, and working knowledge of Microsoft PC software.
