Job Title: Assistant Manager

At The Tile Shop, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in leading our sales team to achieve sales goals and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a well-rounded team of Sales Associates to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
  • Train and coach employees on policies, procedures, and job duties to ensure a high level of performance.
  • Proactively greet customers and develop lasting relationships to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Sell tile and related products to exceed customer expectations and achieve sales goals.
  • Learn and use knowledge of all store and warehouse operations to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Lead by example to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Learn the installation process and products to educate customers and provide expert advice.
  • Track established store sales goals and provide regular updates to management.
  • Provide customers with updates on product delivery status and maintain professional standards to protect The Tile Shop brand.
  • Develop schedules for Associates and Warehouse Personnel to ensure adequate staffing and coverage.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and use good business practices at all times.
Requirements:
  • Must have weekend availability and 1+ years of experience in retail management.
  • Previous sales experience and proven ability to build, develop, and motivate a sales team.
  • Strong work ethic with a drive to exceed expectations and work well with others in a fast-paced, commission sales environment.
  • Open to learning and growing independently and from feedback, with a positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a sense of design and basic mathematical and computer skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English, with previous experience in a related field preferred.
