Position Overview
The Consumer Banker plays a vital role in nurturing existing client relationships while actively seeking new opportunities. This position involves direct engagement with clients and collaboration with internal partners across various banking services, including Mortgage, Wealth Management, Small Business Banking, and Treasury.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate account openings and maintenance tasks.
  • Manage a Teller drawer as required by management.
  • Enhance client engagement through proactive outreach and follow-up.
  • Conduct daily activities aligned with the First Financial Bank Experience.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide expert solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Ensure timely follow-up with clients.
  • Adhere to operational and risk management standards.
  • Assist clients with transactions across various channels, including in-branch, drive-thru, phone, and email.
  • Exemplify First Financial's Mission and Values to peers and clients.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and procedural requirements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, fostering deep client relationships through effective communication.
  • Participate actively in team meetings to support sales and service initiatives.
  • Achieve or surpass sales, service, and referral targets through teamwork and collaboration.
  • Provide digital support to clients navigating online banking services.
  • Stay informed about all bank products and services, particularly complex offerings.
  • Travel within a 60-mile radius for client engagements, with mileage reimbursement for business-related travel.
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of client service experience in a retail banking environment.
  • Proven sales and service success in achieving goals within a retail setting.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong sales acumen.
Preferred Skills
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in sales is advantageous.
Work Environment
  • Ability to address diverse client needs in accordance with bank policies.
Physical Requirements
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and drive regularly.
  • Willingness to travel between banking centers.
