Position: Lead Audio Visual Travel Technician

Location: Richmond VA area

We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Audio Visual Travel Technician to become a part of a reputable Government and Commercial AV Integration firm.

Key Responsibilities:

The AV Technician will oversee the installation, upkeep, and servicing of high-quality audio, video, control systems, professional lighting, and electronic apparatus. The technician is accountable for executing projects with maximum efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring that all work adheres to the highest quality standards established by the company while maintaining a professional and safe working environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the installation of audio, video, and/or audiovisual presentation systems, as well as IT/Networks.
  • Hands-on experience with Audio Visual systems including Crestron, Extron, Biamp, AMX, Shure, and QSC.
  • Ability to work autonomously, demonstrate self-direction, and make informed decisions focused on customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication skills paired with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, including advanced troubleshooting on various devices.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
  • InfoComm CTS Certification is preferred; additional industry certifications (Crestron, Extron, Biamp, AMX, Dante) are advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in installing audiovisual equipment such as video panels, speakers, racking, microphones, and A/V cabling.
  • At least 5 years of commissioning experience.
  • Experience with loading and configuring Crestron control systems.
  • Physical capability to lift 50-60 lbs., climb, crawl, and elevate items overhead.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Must possess a clean criminal record.
