We are looking for a Temporary Accounting Associate to provide assistance and support in managing our company's accounts receivable (AR) operations. This position is centered on investigating outstanding AR invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payment postings, and executing various general accounting support tasks as required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations to resolve discrepancies in accounts receivable through detailed research and analysis.
  • Accurately record payments to the correct accounts and invoices, ensuring all entries are precise and current.
  • Maintain organized and comprehensive records of transactions and communications.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address payment issues and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Perform additional general accounting tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in accounting software applications.
  • At least three (3) years of experience with Excel, including the ability to create spreadsheets and utilize formulas.

Experience:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in accounting.
  • A high school diploma is required; a degree in accounting or a related field is advantageous.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a part-time, temporary capacity.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable with a hybrid work arrangement, including 2-3 days in-office for collaboration with the accounting team.
  • Flexibility with work hours, ideally from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with options for three 8-hour days, four 6-hour days, or five 5-hour days.
  • On-site training for the initial two weeks is required.

Compensation: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour.
