Astrion, Inc. is seeking a Lead Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team, focusing on the Navy Division.

The Lead Electrical Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in the growth and strategic execution of the Navy Division.

JOB DETAILS

LOCATION: Remote

JOB STATUS: Full Time, contingent upon project awards

TRAVEL: Minimal

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
  • At least ten years of experience in the design and development of advanced systems for deep-sea applications, including ocean engineering instruments, undersea electro-acoustic systems, and power generation/distribution technologies;
  • A minimum of six years of experience in telemetry and control systems, including supervisory and automatic control systems, microprocessors, sensors, displays, and data processing systems for acoustic surveillance;
  • Four years of experience in underwater electric field detection and measurement, safety, and related technologies;
  • Security Clearance: Must be a US Citizen with a Top Secret clearance based on an T5 investigation and eligibility for SCI access.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with NAVFAC EXWC in reviewing accelerometer-based expendable penetrometer systems and the necessary acoustic telemetry systems for data transmission.
  • Engage with NAVFAC EXWC in the design, fabrication, testing, delivery, and maintenance of portable and rack-mounted systems as required by Navy clients.
  • Provide guidance and design solutions for navigation control and software for undersea vehicles, including autonomous systems.

SALARY RANGE: Estimated $140,000 USD annually, based on experience.
