Job Summary:

HealthCare Support is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Fill prescription items, packaging medications for dispensing and delivery, meeting accuracy and productivity standards.
Label products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.
Participate in the periodic inventory of the pharmacy.
Check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves, and remove out-of-date items from the inventory.
Prepare medications, including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, which may include non-sterile compounding.
Communicate with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
Process returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.
Assist in the training of new employees.

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a pharmacy setting and with medical terminology.
Ability to operate a computer and recognize and identify medications.
Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.
Licenses/Certifications: As required by state regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

AS400, Frameworks, or QS1 computer systems experience.
1+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting and with medical terminology.
Pharmacy technician licensure.
