Position Overview:
We are in search of a Quality and HSE Manager who will oversee and uphold the company's Quality Management System in alignment with ISO 9001 standards while managing the established Safety Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Management System (QMS):
Serve as the Quality Management Representative, ensuring the QMS Manual, Procedures, and Forms are maintained according to the latest ISO standards. - Manage and sustain ISO 9001 certification.
- Supervise Quality Inspectors in their operational duties.
- Maintain calibration logs for tools and testing equipment.
- Develop a Master Training Plan utilizing departmental feedback through the E-Learning module in Web QMS, facilitating both internal and external training opportunities.
- Report periodically to upper management regarding QMS performance, focusing on key metrics, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and Continuous Improvement Plans (CIPs).
- Assist in evaluating costs and proposals with an emphasis on quality data, testing, and safety considerations.
- Track Quality Objectives established by management.
- Conduct planned Management Review meetings annually.
- Perform risk assessments related to QMS processes and issue Management of Change (MOC) documents as necessary.
- Support supplier approval processes and conduct periodic supplier assessments.
- Plan and execute Internal Audits and DNV Periodic Audits.
- Disseminate audit findings to relevant managers and staff.
- Maintain the Painter Certification program.
- Act as the ISO Management Representative, ensuring that necessary processes for the quality management system are established, implemented, and sustained.
- Report to senior management on the quality management system's performance and areas for improvement.
- Promote awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
- Engage in the organization's continuous improvement initiatives to comply with ISO 9001 standards.
Safety Program Compliance:
Adhere to corporate directives for safety and OSHA compliance.
- Develop a process for the safety qualification of personnel and management.
- Assist in formulating a business continuity plan, conduct training, and facilitate weekly discussions with emergency teams, including scheduling drills to prevent or mitigate potential losses.
- Maintain the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Online system for chemical inventory.
- Ensure inspections of fire systems, including paint booths, fire extinguishers, and alarm systems, are conducted.
- Oversee annual elevator inspections and certifications.
- Monitor HSE compliance for site inspections, vehicle inspections, and equipment operations.
- Coordinate industrial hygiene sampling and monitoring as required.
- Schedule maintenance for generators and compressors.
- Conduct HSE inspections across all company locations.
- Track safety performance and report discrepancies to management.
Qualifications:
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred. - Experience:
Minimum of ten years in management roles within production, fabrication, or service-related fields. Experience in military, commercial manufacturing, or engineering services is advantageous. Familiarity with ISO 9001 environments is a plus. - Knowledge and Skills:
Proficient understanding of project management principles. Strong command of Microsoft Office. Ability to multitask and communicate effectively across all organizational levels. Detail-oriented with a focus on producing error-free work. Self-motivated and capable of working independently while adapting to a dynamic environment.
