Position SummaryWe are currently looking for a Quality/HSE Manager who will hold the responsibility and authority for upholding the company’s Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001 standards and overseeing the established Safety Program. The Quality/HSE Manager will also manage the calibration program, oversee controlled documents, and develop training plans pertinent to SIT and CS Controls functions. This role serves as a liaison for both external and internal audits and coordinates requirements for new vendors and customers.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management System (QMS)- Act as the Quality Management Representative to maintain the QMS Manual, Procedures, and Forms in accordance with the latest ISO standards.
- Oversee and sustain the ISO 9001 certification.
- Supervise Quality Inspectors in their operational duties.
- Maintain and facilitate calibration logs for tools and testing equipment.
- Develop a Master Training Plan based on departmental feedback through the E-Learning module in Web QMS and coordinate the scheduling of internal and third-party training sessions.
- Report periodically to the President regarding the QMS, focusing on key metrics, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and Continuous Improvement Plans (CIPs).
- Assist in reviewing costs and proposals with a focus on quality data, testing, and safety considerations.
- Track and maintain Quality Objectives as established by SIT Management.
- Conduct planned Management Review meetings annually.
- Perform risk assessments related to the Quality Management system processes and issue Management of Change (MOC) as necessary.
- Assist with supplier approval and conduct periodic supplier assessments.
- Plan and participate in Internal Audits and DNV Periodic Audits.
- Disseminate audit findings to relevant managers and employees.
- Maintain the Painter Certification program.
- Ensure the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of processes required for the quality management system.
- Report to senior management on the performance of the quality management system and identify areas for improvement.
- Promote awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
- Support and engage in the organization’s continuous improvement initiatives to comply with ISO 9001 and understand the implications of non-compliance.
- Adhere to Corporate Directives for Safety and OSHA Compliance.
- Develop a process for Safety Qualification of shop and field personnel and managers.
- Assist in creating a business continuity plan, conduct training, facilitate weekly discussions with emergency teams, and schedule drills to support rapid response criteria for preventing or mitigating losses in production or personnel.
- Maintain the SDS Online system for Chemical Inventory.
- Ensure Fire System inspections are conducted, including Paint Booth, Fire Extinguishers, and Alarm systems.
- Oversee annual elevator inspections and certifications.
- Monitor and maintain HSE compliance for Site Inspection, Vehicle Inspections, Forklift, and Cranes.
- Participate in and coordinate Industrial Hygiene sampling and monitoring as required.
- Schedule maintenance for generators and compressors.
- Conduct HSE inspections across all company locations.
- Track safety performance for all locations and report discrepancies to management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in managing Production, Fabrication, or Service-related fields.
- Experience in military, commercial manufacturing, or engineering services is advantageous.
- Experience in an ISO 9001 environment is a plus.
- Proficient understanding of Project Management principles.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
- Accountable for personal actions.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on producing error-free work.
- Deadline-driven and prioritizes customer requests.
- Self-motivated with innovative thinking to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Capable of working with minimal supervision.
