Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Children's Health. As a Senior Clinician, you will be responsible for planning and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of Speech Language Pathology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct Speech Language Pathology services to patients in accordance with standards of practice.
  • Collaborate with physicians, patients, family, and other members of the healthcare team relative to patient treatment and progress.
  • Develop, interpret, and review policies and procedures of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department.
  • Assist in developing and implementing educational programs within assigned areas.
  • Serve as a preceptor and mentor for new staff therapists, students, and rehabilitation aides.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of previous Speech Language Pathology experience required.
  • Acute care experience within a hospital setting preferred.
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • License to practice Speech Language in the state of Texas required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from ASHA required.
