Job Summary

The Administrative Specialist III plays a crucial role in supporting the educational consultant and family consultant of the Children and Youth with Sensory Impairments (CAYSI) project. This position involves working closely with the Coordinator of Special Programs to develop and maintain systems for organizing and extrapolating critical data that aligns with the goals of the CAYSI project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the gathering of medical and educational records for Deafblind students in Arkansas.
  • Manage the SI2 system, an extensive database encompassing records of all Deafblind students in the state.
  • Develop and maintain systems for organizing and extrapolating critical data that aligns with the goals of the CAYSI project.
  • Prepare training materials for conferences and utilize data management for paraprofessional training.
  • Collaborate with unit administrative support personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the unit or Office of Special Education.
Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to those individuals who have experience working in special education and/or working with families and/or individuals with disabilities.
