Position Overview

The County Administrator III for Human Services plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of a significant county facility. This position operates under the guidelines set forth by state and federal regulations, as well as agency policies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Supervise subordinate staff by assigning tasks, providing guidance, and evaluating performance.
  2. Coordinate the delivery of services by monitoring operations, addressing issues, and implementing corrective measures.
  3. Manage the Information and Referral System, ensuring effective resource utilization and resolving any system-related issues.
  4. Develop community resources by collaborating with local organizations to assess needs and enhance service availability.
  5. Establish and enforce county office procedures in compliance with departmental policies.
  6. Oversee the operational budget, including expenditure approvals and inventory management.
  7. Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in sociology, psychology, public administration, or a related discipline, along with four years of relevant experience, including two years in a supervisory role. Additional qualifications may be considered upon review.
