Who are we seeking?

The Materials Scientist/Chemist will specialize in the formulation of pastes and inks for ActiveCopper products. This hands-on role requires the ideal candidate to innovate new processes and formulations to meet customer demands and support internal engineering initiatives for scaling production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement experimental plans to evaluate new processes and formulations
  • Collaborate closely with applications teams to refine formulations based on their insights
  • Partner with the synthesis team to ensure raw materials align with formulation requirements
  • Design and establish methods for large-scale paste production
  • Maintain an organized formulation database
  • Oversee and track paste samples from initial request to final analysis
  • Utilize analytical skills to pinpoint areas for enhancement and conduct experiments to facilitate those improvements
  • Prepare presentations to communicate findings clearly and effectively
  • Collaborate with quality professionals to implement quality control initiatives
  • Actively engage in team meetings to discuss safety, process enhancements, problem-solving, and other relevant topics.
Who are You?
  • A bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, preferably in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • At least 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience; 3 years preferred.
  • Strong foundation in chemistry and materials science is essential.
  • Proven experience in paste formulation is required.
  • Familiarity with chemical and material analytical techniques (SEM, EDS, IC, XRD, TGA, DSC, GDMS, X-ray, UV/Vis) and experience in a research laboratory is advantageous.
  • Experience with nanoparticle material systems is a plus.
  • Background in inorganic chemistry and chemical analysis techniques is preferred.
