Position Overview:
The Product Formulation Specialist will be instrumental in our fulfillment operations, ensuring precise and efficient product formulation. The ideal candidate will possess technical proficiency, experience in a laboratory environment, and the ability to excel in a dynamic setting. This role demands a meticulous and organized individual who is self-motivated and capable of juggling multiple responsibilities with accuracy. Furthermore, given our startup nature, the ability to adjust and undertake various tasks as required is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulation Preparation: Precisely measure and combine ingredients following established formulations to guarantee product consistency and quality.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assessments on raw materials and finished products, identifying and rectifying any inconsistencies.
- Technical Operations: Manage and maintain laboratory logs, data entry, and integration with software tools such as Excel, Word, and eQMS systems.
- Inventory Oversight: Monitor and manage the inventory of materials and supplies, collaborating with the procurement team to maintain sufficient stock levels.
- Process Enhancement: Recognize opportunities for workflow improvements and contribute to the development of more efficient processes.
- Documentation: Keep detailed and accurate records of formulations, production procedures, and quality control activities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulatory standards to ensure a secure working environment.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to facilitate smooth operations.
- Laboratory Testing: Perform various laboratory tests and experiments, maintaining thorough records of methodologies and outcomes. Ensure the cleanliness of the fulfillment laboratory and workspace.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any challenges that arise during the formulation and fulfillment processes.
- Adaptability: Embrace various roles and responsibilities as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and a readiness to tackle new challenges in a startup context.
- At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory, fulfillment, or administrative role, ideally within a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment.
- Able to lift 50 lbs comfortably.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Highly motivated and capable of working independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
