Position Summary

The Production Supervisor at Sprecher Beverage Company is responsible for overseeing the operations of the variety packing line during the 2nd shift at our manufacturing facility. This role involves managing all facets of line operations, including production timelines, workforce management, and warehouse efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise a team of operators while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Engage in workforce planning, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and employee development.
  • Operate machinery and address maintenance challenges as they arise.
  • Manage production timelines to enhance plant performance.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Foster collaboration with other departments to ensure alignment across the organization.
  • Provide leadership in areas such as safety, morale, quality, cost management, and production efficiency.
  • Encourage a culture of respect, teamwork, and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of 3 years of management experience in manufacturing or a related field.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices and workplace safety regulations.
  • Experience in team development, recruitment, training, and scheduling.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
  • Capability to perform under pressure and solve problems efficiently.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs, with occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.
  • Perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Stand for extended periods on concrete surfaces.
