Sanitation and Warehouse Associate

Position Summary:

We are seeking a self-motivated, reliable individual to support our Warehouse and Sanitation team, ensuring the company's production facility meets the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Pull customer orders and ship them correctly and efficiently
• Pick orders from stock or staging areas by hand, hand cart, pallet jack, fork truck
• Prepare product for shipment to customers, including affixing the appropriate labeling
• Pack product in the appropriate packaging as required for the type of material being shipped
• Verify the quantity and quality of materials picked and packaged for accuracy
• Affix complete address labels and any other special labels required for the handling of material as specified by the carriers
• Use a forklift to move materials
• Comply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP and other quality and safety programs
• Use a handheld scanning gun device for inventory and order picking
• Other duties as assigned

Sanitation Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize the production and warehouse facility daily
• Clean equipment and work areas, using and mixing of cleaning solutions and hand tools
• Clean up work area and trash, including products, bags, boxes
• Daily tasks may include cleaning of the office area, sweeping, mopping, garbage removal, at both office locations
• Perform other basic janitorial services to ensure the facility is clean and safe; tasks may include picking up trash, emptying receptacles, and cleaning and stocking restrooms in the facility as required
• Complete daily paperwork accurately
• Comply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP and other quality and safety programs
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, additional hours may be required on weekends
• Other duties as assigned by food safety and quality supervisor

Requirements:

• Basic math skills required
• Computer knowledge to ship product using UPS, USPS and other carriers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work on a variety of tasks as needed
• Physical requirements include lifting to 60 lbs., bending, standing and climbing
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to use hand cleaning tools such as mops, brooms, and brushes
• Ability to use power cleaning tools such as vacuums and floor scrubbers
• Ability to follow and read instructions and use cleaning chemicals and agents properly
• Ability to learn cleaning procedures for industrial equipment
