Amotec is currently hiring for several Entry-Level Assemblers to do small wire assembly. (Full training provided)

These are 1st shift openings, 6:30 am to 3pm, Monday through Friday. (No Saturday work) The pay is $16 an hour to start with lots of room to grow. This is a sitting or standing job. You have options. Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
• Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
• Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components
• Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
• Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
• Check output to ensure highest quality
• Maintain equipment in good condition
• Keep records of production quantities and time
• Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts

Skills

• Entry-level experience as assembler
• Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
• Ability in using tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. presses)
• Good understanding of quality control principles
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
• High school diploma; Higher degree from a technical school will be appreciated

Once hired on you are eligible for all paid Holidays. Upon being hired-in, benefits hit such as 5 personal days & vacation time which are pro-rated to the end of the year based on when candidates go FT. After going Full-Time, if candidates show they've learned quick there is a potential pay bump in addition to the standard 90 day evaluation period after which employees are eligible for a pay bump based on performance & attendance. OT is always available, and there is a monthly bonus program for all employees to get a bonus if the entire plant hits the goal/numbers. They also offer Profit-Sharing, Safe Harbor (3% into 401K per Quarter) There are two 15-minute breaks per shift, and a 45-minute lunch even though employees are only charged 30-minutes. There is a large lunch room complete with 2 fridges, 4 microwaves, company-provided snacks, vending machines, and plenty of table space. They do try to do corporate events throughout the year. Family First attitude is the self-admitted selling-point - employees are always allowed lee-way in order to take care of their family (sick kids, time-off to care for family, emergency absences, etc.) affairs. Being a family business, the culture is a little 'relaxed' where the managers/supervisors are more than just understanding, but will work with employee's if/when they need some time away to address personal/family issues or affairs.
