**Job Summary**
Denali Universal Services is seeking a highly skilled Security Officer to join our team at the Fairbanks Administrative Building. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the reception area and administrative building.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Maintain workplace security by controlling access and following safety procedures.
- Greet and welcome visitors and employees as they arrive at the office.
- Check-in visitors, conduct security screenings, issue and collect visitor badges, maintain visitor logs, and notify the appropriate employee escort.
- Perform inside security-related functions as requested by the client.
- Monitor alarm panels and CCTV.
- Conduct outside patrols to ensure the security of the property, including parking lots.
- Escort confrontational people out of the facility or off the property.
- Prepare and submit incident reports to the designated client representative.
- Coordinate and communicate with the DUS home office as appropriate.
- Participate in safety, security, and workplace violence training and certifications as required.
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 19 years of age.
- Valid driver's license.
- State of Alaska Security Officer license or ability to obtain.
- Ability to speak, write, and comprehend the English language, and apply written and verbal policies/procedures.
- Ability to interact with the public, assisting and representing all levels of the client.
- Prior experience in a public-facing administrative role and/or customer-centric security-related position is preferred.
