Your Role
As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating patient access to our services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming patients and ensuring a smooth registration process by collecting essential demographic and insurance details.
  • Scheduling and coordinating appointments, laboratory tests, and other ancillary services to optimize patient flow.
  • Initiating co-payment collections in accordance with individual insurance requirements.
  • Assisting patients with non-encounter based access needs and ensuring effective communication with clinical staff.
  • Monitoring waiting areas to maintain a clean and organized environment, ensuring that patient wait times are minimized.

Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare-related fields is preferred.
  • At least one year of customer service experience, ideally in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience in a medical-related field is advantageous.

Certification Requirements
Candidates must obtain Medical Assistant certification within 15 months of employment, with support provided by Billings Clinic. Additionally, Heart Saver CPR certification is required.
