About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Lead Solution Developer. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the experience of developers who interact with our platform.

In this position, you will be responsible for educating and engaging early adopters and the broader developer community around our InterSystems IRIS data platform. You will create and deliver impactful content, such as sample code, blog posts, and presentations, to help developers learn concepts and build successful applications and integrations on our data management platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Expand the Ecosystem: Develop and execute strategies to increase the number of active and influential open source projects using InterSystems' technology.
  • Content Creation: Design and deliver high-quality content, including sample code, blog posts, presentations, and other materials, to help developers learn and succeed with our platform.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators to measure awareness and engagement, and develop a reporting cadence to inform business decisions.
  • Collaboration and Community Building: Work closely with cross-functional teams to create educational resources, such as videos, courses, and exercises, to support new developers and foster a sense of community.
  • Event Participation: Represent InterSystems at various development events, hackathons, and conferences to promote our IRIS Data Platform and build relationships with key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong understanding of database technologies, including SQL/relational, NoSQL/document, key-value, and unstructured data.
  • Developer Relations: 2+ years of experience in developer relations, advocacy, or evangelism, with a proven track record of creating engaging content and building relationships with developers.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Continuous Learning: A strong desire to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry.
  • Travel and Autonomy: Willingness to travel and ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field, with a strong foundation in computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline.
