Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to collaborate with a multidisciplinary product team, driving designs from initial concepts to successful customer implementation. This role involves:

  • Test Development: Design and implement testing protocols to ensure product reliability.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and maintenance guides.
  • Support and Installation: Assist in the assembly and installation of systems, working closely with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure timely delivery of fully functional electromechanical systems.
  • Prototype Testing: Conduct tests and verification processes for prototype systems to validate design efficacy.
  • System Design Analysis: Perform detailed analyses focusing on reliability, manufacturability, assembly efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Support the maintenance of large fleets of robots by leading investigations into failures and implementing preventive measures.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with DFM and DFA principles
  • Proficiency in 48VDC and 480VAC 3-phase wiring systems
  • Familiarity with UL, NFPA standards, and testing equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, and current meters
  • Experience with PLC programming using TIA Portal or CODESYS
  • 3D printing and testing procedures
