Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to collaborate with a multidisciplinary product team in evolving designs from initial concepts to successful customer implementation. This role involves the design and execution of tests, as well as the creation of essential documentation such as bills of materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and maintenance instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the assembly and installation of systems.
  • Engage with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure the delivery and deployment of fully assembled, functional, and tested electromechanical systems to client facilities.
  • Conduct testing and verification of prototype systems.
  • Perform comprehensive system design analyses, focusing on reliability, design-for-manufacture, design-for-assembly, and cost optimization.
  • Assist in managing large fleets of deployed robotic systems, leading root cause analysis and implementing failure prevention strategies.

Required Skills:

  • Electrical engineering expertise
  • Proficiency in design and panel design
  • Experience with electrical schematics and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of cable systems

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with DFM and DFA principles
  • Familiarity with prototype systems including 48VDC and 480VAC 3-phase wiring
  • Understanding of UL, NFPA standards, and use of DMM, Oscilloscope, and Current Meters
  • Proficient in Logic/Bus Analyzer and PLCs using TIA Portal or CODESYS
  • Experience with 3D printer testing and test procedures

Experience Level: Intermediate Level
