Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze title reports, underlying title documents, surveys, and due diligence materials
  • Negotiate title insurance coverage and policies directly with title companies and underwriters
  • Draft correspondence regarding transaction issues
  • Review purchase agreements, contracts, and leases, and prepare closing checklists and critical date timelines
  • Form, register, and maintain business entities (domestic and foreign)
  • Draft and prepare closing documents and escrow instructions
  • Closing coordination with attorneys, clients, lenders, and escrow/title officers
  • Prepare closing binders
Requirements
  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
  • Minimum of seven (7) years direct experience as a transactional real estate paralegal
  • Thorough understanding of title insurance coverage, policies, forms, and endorsements
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills
  • Extensive knowledge of real estate terminology and thorough understanding of the commercial transactional and financing process
  • Strong technical skills using Microsoft Word and Outlook
