Job Description

Realty Income is seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to provide expert leasing and property management legal services for our national portfolio of properties. As a key member of our team, you will counsel and support our business teams on a broad range of legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate and draft leasing-related documents, including amendments, consents to assignments and subleases, and guaranties, to maintain occupancy in our existing portfolio.
  • Provide legal support to our property management business team through creative problem-solving.
  • Counsel internal clients on various legal issues, including lease interpretation, risk mitigation strategies, and title matters.
  • Supervise paralegals in performing various aspects of asset management and property management legal matters.
  • Supervise outside counsel, as applicable.
  • Handle a variety of legal matters related to the operation and improvement of our ever-expanding portfolio, including renewable energy matters and other ESG initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • 3+ years of transactional real estate law experience, either in-house or with a law firm.
  • Active bar license in good standing in the state in which you reside.
  • Excellent knowledge of contracts and real estate law, as well as excellent corporate and interpersonal communication skills.
