Job Overview

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the expansion and market share of designated product categories through strategic sales initiatives with select clients, collaborating with Territory Managers as needed.
  • Offer in-depth product knowledge and sales assistance across all facets of the category, including promotional strategies, product details, pricing suggestions, competitive analysis, and menu concepts aimed at maximizing market penetration and achieving growth targets.
  • Monitor and enhance key performance indicators across fresh product lines, including sales growth, category engagement, and customer feedback; collaborate with Territory Managers to optimize product selections and pricing strategies for new business opportunities.
  • Facilitate product conversion initiatives and new item sales based on profitability, features, and advantages.
  • Support Territory Managers in establishing new client relationships with significant potential; accompany them on visits to high-value accounts to provide specialized product insights. Conduct training sessions focused on priority areas, utilizing hands-on demonstrations and printed resources during sales meetings and field interactions.
  • Create and deliver engaging training and sales materials in partnership with Category Management and Training teams.
  • Showcase product applications and menu uses at various locations, providing expert consultation on essential product attributes, benefits, and preparation methods.
  • Contribute to category growth by gathering and sharing market intelligence and customer insights regarding product offerings, pricing trends, and innovations; assist in developing marketing materials and events, while supporting Category Management with sourcing and inventory needs.
  • Propose and deliver tailored business solutions to key clients, facilitating smooth transitions to the Business Solutions team.
  • Address product inquiries from Territory Managers through limited communication channels.
  • Provide occasional support to Territory Managers in non-priority sales efforts.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Hybrid: This position involves a combination of remote and office-based work.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in either the COP or Produce sectors with comprehensive product knowledge.
  • Willingness to learn about the alternate category to effectively represent both COP and Produce.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, alongside effective interpersonal, presentation, and training skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
