Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Engagement Manager to join our team at the Nevada Mining Association. This role will be responsible for promoting, managing, and overseeing community engagement activities across our geographical area of support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a written community engagement strategy aligned with industry, association, and membership priorities.
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder mapping to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Coordinate and communicate with external stakeholders to collaborate on topics and concerns regarding the betterment of mining communities and Nevada.
  • Strategize with internal staff and leadership to deliver community engagement and outreach plans.
  • Represent the Association at relevant industry and community events.
  • Monitor the success of community events and programs, developing tracking mechanisms for standardized reporting and ROI for the Association.
  • Stay informed of emerging trends impacting the association and stakeholder communities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, public relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience in a community relations role is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, with solid proficiency in the English language required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, association leadership, membership, educators, and community leaders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively through the organization, including staff and board members.
  • Independently handle multiple assignments, prioritizing work and remaining organized.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule in response to the needs of the role, including travel for work assignments as needed.
