The Member Outreach Representative serves as a key liaison between Prominence Health and its members, promoting quality and wellness programs to enhance the patient experience. This role involves contacting members by phone to inform and educate them on health insurance offerings, products, or services, as well as responding to inquiries and assisting with quality improvement and member health assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Contacting members to promote quality and wellness programs
- Informing and educating members on health insurance offerings, products, or services
- Responding to member inquiries and providing support
- Assisting with quality improvement and member health assessments
- Identifying quality insufficiencies and consulting with department leaders on quality improvement initiatives
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years' experience in making outbound calls to members and/or patients
- 3+ years' customer service experience in a managed care, medical office, or healthcare-related field
- Understanding of health plan departments and functional areas for problem resolution
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Positive attitude and strong analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office skills
