Infection Control and Prevention Manager

Nuvance Health is seeking a highly skilled Infection Control and Prevention Manager to oversee and manage infection control and prevention activities across our network of hospitals and outpatient locations.
This key role will be responsible for establishing policies, procedures, and protocols to minimize hospital-acquired infections, monitoring compliance, and ensuring a top-quality experience for patients.
In collaboration with the Director of Infection Control and Prevention, this individual will assure compliance with all regulatory agencies, including CMS, OSHA, State DOH, and TJC.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in infection control, lean six sigma, and CIC certification, with a minimum of five years' experience in an acute care setting and two years of management/supervisory experience.
This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of 8 am to 4:30 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement infection control and prevention policies and procedures
- Monitor and track process and outcome indicators related to infection prevention and control
- Collaborate with physicians, quality, safety, and patient care departments to drive improvement in patient and healthcare personnel safety
- Develop and maintain interfaces and communication with senior leadership, performance improvement, and clinical leadership
- Investigate clusters of infections and ensure timely reporting of reportable diseases to local and state health departments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five years' experience in infection control in an acute care setting
- Minimum of two years previous management/supervisory experience
- Leadership, communication, presentation, and computer skills
- Knowledge of Joint Commission, OSHA, AIA, NY DOH regulatory requirements related to infection control
