Production Control Associate Director

Job Summary

BlueCrest is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Production Control to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for material planning, inventory management, and production control for manufactured products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule production orders in accordance with the demand outlook from the SIOP process
  • Ensure reliable lead times are estimated with all material and labor constraints taken into account
  • Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, and aid business performance
  • Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and market suppliers
  • Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible
  • Deliver briefs, updates, and reports as and when required
  • Optimize production plan on a daily basis to deliver required equipment from manufacturing
  • Help analyze, implement, and operate an Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) package
  • Manage internal customer expectations regarding timely execution of production order releases and release processing of internal documents
Relationship Management
  • Work collaboratively and negotiate with stakeholders and suppliers regarding new projects, supplies, and initiatives
  • Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials
  • Attend meetings and update others on issues or concerns, particularly when there is a risk which could prevent the organization meeting customer demands or where there are over capacity concerns
  • Support product change requests and review and communicate the impact on capacity plans
  • Build, maintain, and manage supplier relationships and ensure good communications
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required
  • 8 years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or distribution function
  • Ability to mine data from several sources to build actionable reporting using BI Tools
  • Excellent Excel skills with proven experience delivering data-driven, valuable insights to executive stakeholders
  • Demonstrated competency with cross-functional engagement and collaboration
  • Working knowledge of material planning principles
  • Proficient computer skills – particularly Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with D365 is desired
  • Experience or familiarity with an APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) package with automation and optimization software such as Planet Together, Aspen, or Siemens OpCenter Planning and Scheduling
