Position: Sales Estimator - Roofing Sector

Role Overview:

Bidding Responsibilities:
Engaging with RFPs, crafting bids, and securing contracts for commercial and industrial roofing projects.

Client Relations:
Building and nurturing relationships with both new and existing clients.

Sales Development:
Accountable for cultivating and finalizing a pipeline of negotiated projects for both production and service sectors.

- Estimating and Bidding
- Product Knowledge and Procurement
- Customer Satisfaction and Business Growth

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

Product Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of single-ply roofing materials and attachment techniques.

Proficient in interpreting specifications, bid documents, and conducting project takeoffs.

Skilled in compiling and preparing project submittals.

Analytical Skills:
Ability to utilize mathematical concepts and spreadsheets for basic calculations and ratio analyses.

Project Management:
Exemplary attention to detail along with strong organizational, administrative, logistical, and communication skills.

Capable of calculating pricing and cost implications for change orders.

Data Management:
Most project documentation is handled electronically. Proficiency in software tools such as Excel and Word is essential. Familiarity with DataForma is advantageous.

Team Collaboration:
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team setting.

Must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check.

Experience Requirements:
3-5 years of experience as an Estimator in the commercial roofing industry.

Previous sales experience in roofing or construction is beneficial.

Familiarity with single-ply membranes and attachment methods is required.

Work Environment, Travel Expectations, and Physical Requirements:
Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors.

Candidates should be capable of managing a 28' ladder independently.

Reliable personal transportation is necessary for travel between client locations.

A valid driver's license in good standing is required.

The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, with the possibility of occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate business needs.
