We are seeking a skilled and driven Finance Administrative Assistant to become a part of our Corporate Accounting division. This role will assist the Corporate Accounting team with various responsibilities, applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and employing critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)

  • Recording Daily Cash Transactions
  • Completing vendor credit applications as necessary
  • Processing credit applications and conducting trade reference checks for customer applications
  • Handling credit applications for Griffith
  • Preparing and entering monthly journal entries for the General Ledger
  • Uploading positive pay files
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The candidate must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the position.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly with Intermediate/Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Viewpoint Software or a similar ERP system is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines are crucial.

Educational Background

An Associate's degree in Accounting is preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an accounting clerk, ideally within a Construction or Manufacturing setting.

Physical Demands

  • Primarily working in an indoor office environment
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
  • Occasional lifting of files and boxes weighing up to 20 lbs
  • Moving file cabinets as needed
  • Extended visual engagement with a computer screen
  • Frequent typing tasks
  • Occasional travel may be required
