Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team at Zobility, a leading workforce management and staffing division of RGBSI. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced chassis control systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Algorithm Development: Design, develop, and implement control algorithms for chassis systems, including brakes, steering, and suspension, to deliver vehicle attributes.
  • System Analysis: Leverage subsystem- and component-level CAE models to analyze dynamic systems and complex system interactions, and to support concept analysis and verification, parameter optimization, and controls/design verification and validation.
  • Physical System Testing: Define and review physical system testing and characterization to validate CAE models and guide vehicle and control system design.
  • Embedded Controls: Implement control algorithms on embedded controllers.
  • Quality Process Support: Support the quality process workstreams, including P-diagrams, FMEAs, requirements development, functional safety (ISO 26262), and documentation.
  • Technology Development: Leverage connected vehicle technologies to improve customer experience with enhanced controls and prognostics.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in dynamic systems and embedded real-time controls development for automotive or similarly complex electromechanical systems, including C or C++.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Chassis (brakes, steering, suspension) system hardware and control.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field with emphasis on control systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Distributed Systems Engineering: 3+ years of experience in distributed systems engineering, including requirements management, function decomposition and allocation, failure mode avoidance, robustness analysis, and system validation and verification.
  • Longitudinal Controls: Experience with longitudinal controls for xEV systems (series hybrid, parallel hybrid, mild hybrid, battery electric, fuel cell).
