Position Overview

The Director of People Systems will collaborate with FiscalNote's leadership to architect, develop, implement, and oversee our Human Resources systems and workflows. This role encompasses our HRIS, ATS, LMS, Helpdesk, and Intranet, among others. You will pinpoint opportunities for enhancing current processes and execute modifications that yield positive outcomes for the People Team and FiscalNote employees globally. Your responsibilities will include the implementation of metrics and analytics, integrations, processes, workflows, employee records, and reporting.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, excel in a fast-paced environment, and take pleasure in constructing sustainable, scalable solutions in partnership with key stakeholders. You will be highly analytical, demonstrating strong quantitative and qualitative skills, and be eager to engage in hands-on work. A technical background is essential, as you will seek to automate manual tasks through the thoughtful implementation of processes and integrations. You should be an effective communicator, critical thinker, adept problem solver, metrics-oriented, and exceptionally organized.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain all HR systems and their associated workflows/integrations.
  • Assess current processes and create new ones related to employee lifecycle management, performance management, learning and development, time and attendance, and more.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant security and compliance controls.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of HR technology trends and best practices to recommend scalable technology solutions.
  • Provide guidance and thought leadership on HR processes, focusing on meeting business needs, identifying innovative solutions, and ensuring an optimal end-user experience.
  • Facilitate HR system adoption through comprehensive documentation and training sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with and actively manage all HR system vendor relationships.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards and reporting.
  • Participate as a core member of the Systems and Information Governance Board overseeing all People-related data and systems.
  • Report directly to the SVP of People with a dotted-line report to the Sr. Director of Enterprise IT.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Over 2 years of experience managing HR systems such as BambooHR, Lever, Workday, PeopleSoft, Kronos, and/or ADP in a global context.
  • Expertise in best practices, strategic delivery, and operational execution of HR systems solutions, business reporting, and analytics.
  • Experience in building and operationalizing HR programs from the ground up and redesigning effective HR programs and workflows for multiple stakeholders.
  • Basic knowledge of employment law, employee records, records retention and protection, and labor and compliance reporting, including international employment requirements.
  • Proven track record of developing and enhancing management controls and operational processes for both internal and external needs.
  • A highly motivated and positive team player, hands-on and strategic, with a customer service orientation.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, a creative and collaborative work approach, mission-focused, solutions-oriented, and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • High integrity, with the ability to maintain objectivity and exercise confidentiality and discretion.
