We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant to join our team, playing a crucial role in the well-being of our residents.

This is a full-time position.

Role Responsibilities:


The Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant will collaborate with the Physical Therapist to develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to the needs of residents.

This role involves executing specialized physical therapy interventions as prescribed by a Registered Physical Therapist, ensuring that the highest standards of care are upheld consistently.

A valid New York State Physical Therapist Assistant license is mandatory.

Key Duties:
• Support the Physical Therapist in the design, execution, and monitoring of treatment programs for residents.

• Document observations regarding residents' behaviors and progress in Progress Notes.

• Maintain accurate statistical records and departmental reports as required by the Physical Therapist.

• Assist in conducting in-service training sessions as needed.

• Ensure that supplies are well-organized and that equipment is sanitized daily.

• Arrive at work punctually and adhere to the scheduled hours; responsible for personal transportation.

• Utilize the electronic timekeeping system effectively.

• Uphold confidentiality regarding resident information and privacy while performing job duties.

• Adhere to the facility's dress code, including wearing a name tag at all times.


• Execute assigned tasks in alignment with the service excellence standards and objectives established for this role and all staff members.


Qualifications:
• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy assistant program is required.

• A current New York State license to practice is essential.

• Valid CPR/BLS certification is required.

This position necessitates regular interaction with residents, colleagues, visitors, and supervisors.

To ensure a safe working environment for all, the employee must possess the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or advanced level.
