Position Overview
As a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of physical therapy treatment plans. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in delivering care and monitoring patient progress, ensuring effective communication with the supervising Physical Therapist and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
1. Provide direct patient care as outlined in the authorized prescription from the referring physician or other licensed practitioner, following established protocols.
2. Ensure all necessary documentation is completed in line with departmental policies and procedures.
3. Maintain accurate progress notes and discharge summaries for all assigned patients.
4. Adhere to emergency procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care when required.
5. Engage in quality improvement initiatives through participation in chart reviews and related activities.
6. Attend family meetings and conferences that pertain to the management and welfare of assigned patients, as necessary.

Qualifications
1. An Associate's Degree is required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
2. A current license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in New York State is mandatory, along with any specialized certifications as required.
3. A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience is necessary.

Compensation Information
The salary range for this position is between $58,540 and $92,650 per year. This range represents a good faith estimate of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant. Factors such as location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity may influence the final salary offer.
