Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support front desk operations by assisting with patient check-ins, managing communications, and handling basic administrative tasks.

2. Prepare the therapy environment with the necessary equipment tailored to the specific needs of scheduled patients.

3. Maintain a clean and sanitized therapy area and equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

4. Assist patients in transitioning between therapy areas, requiring physical capability to support those with limited mobility.

5. Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions, providing feedback to the supervising therapist.

6. Manage inventory of therapy supplies to ensure availability for patient care.

7. Guide and motivate patients in performing exercises and daily activities, under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

8. Assist in preparing and applying therapeutic modalities, including heat and cold treatments, as well as other therapeutic interventions.

9. Educate patients on exercises aimed at improving mobility, strength, and coordination, including the safe use of assistive devices.

10. Ensure that patients and their caregivers comprehend the necessary exercises and healthy practices to support recovery.

11. Perform other related duties as assigned within the scope of physical therapy assistance.

Compensation: Hourly rate is commensurate with experience, ranging from $17 to $19 per hour.
