Business Process Analyst – Digitalization Specialist

The Siemens Global Business Services (GBS) Hire to Retire (H2R) team is on the lookout for a Business Process Analyst – H2R Digitalization Specialist to enhance our process optimization and digitalization efforts. This role primarily focuses on optimizing H2R processes by utilizing your extensive knowledge of current and emerging digital technologies, including cloud computing, data analytics, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and more. The specialist will evaluate organizational processes, comprehend the capabilities and limitations of various technologies, and propose solutions that improve business processes and overall efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in H2R processes (payroll, workforce management, worker readiness, equity services, AskHR) and a fervor for utilizing digital solutions. Alongside technical expertise, exceptional customer service skills are essential. As a proponent of customer satisfaction, you will be committed to delivering unmatched experiences, ensuring that GBS remains the preferred partner for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Digitalization

  • Demonstrate system and technical expertise across various platforms, showcasing the ability to adapt and learn to tackle business challenges with innovative tools, such as artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, business process management solutions, and robotics.
  • Utilize low-code and no-code platforms to design, develop, and maintain applications, workflows, and automation solutions.
  • Collaborate with technology solution providers to ensure that the solutions effectively address customer pain points. Translate business requirements into actionable insights for technology teams.
  • Design and create desktop automations using technical tools to boost productivity and optimize processes as necessary.
  • Oversee the development of solutions built on applications and technologies like KNIME, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Tableau, AI, Natural Language Processing models, Chatbots, RPA, etc.

Process Optimization

  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to identify gaps, non-value-added steps, and other barriers to efficient process operations.
  • Employ Lean Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes, pinpoint bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Utilize analytical techniques to gather, document, and interpret business requirements, processes, and objectives.
  1. Conduct data analysis to uncover root causes of performance issues and identify key value drivers for process enhancements and solutions.
  2. Perform time studies, cost-benefit analysis, workload allocation analysis, capacity planning, and operational performance analysis.
  • Design future-state processes, leveraging digital technologies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to seek creative solutions to business challenges.

Project Management and Collaboration

  • Develop project plans with critical milestones that align with project timelines and objectives. Adopt an Agile mindset and approach where applicable.
  • Support the progress of all project phases from initial opportunity analysis through implementation and value contribution monitoring.
  • Meet personal deadlines and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of supervisor's expectations, manage time effectively, and take ownership of tasks with a strong sense of pride and accountability.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of experience in process design and digital solution implementations, utilizing data analytics for process improvement.
  • Proficiency in low-code development.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as RPA, Tableau, AI, Natural Language Processing models, Chatbots, etc.
  • Proven ability to independently develop using tools such as KNIME, Power Automate, PowerApps, PowerBI.
  • Understanding of Lean/Agile methodologies and their practical application.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or information systems.
  • Knowledge of the services provided by GBS Business Lines.
  • Experience with H2R tools such as Fusion, Workday, CHCM, ServiceNow, SCD, SOM.
