Position Overview:

We are looking for a knowledgeable and meticulous Business Continuity Planning (BCP) specialist. In this role, you will be tasked with the creation, execution, and upkeep of thorough business continuity strategies to safeguard our organization against potential disruptions or emergencies. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of risk evaluation, crisis response, and continuity methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and refine business continuity strategies and plans tailored to industry standards and organizational requirements.
  • Perform risk evaluations and business impact assessments to pinpoint potential risks and their effects on operational functions.
  • Engage with essential stakeholders to define business continuity goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Design and lead business continuity drills, exercises, and simulations to assess the efficacy of established plans.
  • Offer guidance and assistance to business units in crafting their continuity strategies and ensuring they align with overarching organizational objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience (6+ years) in business continuity planning and crisis management.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and frameworks for developing a robust BCP.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities to evaluate complex scenarios and devise practical solutions.
  • Experience in conducting risk evaluations, business impact assessments, and formulating risk mitigation strategies.
  • Expertise in designing and executing business continuity plans, including crisis communication protocols and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to varied audiences.
  • Relevant certifications such as CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional), MBCI (Member of the Business Continuity Institute), or equivalent are preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. An advanced degree or equivalent experience is a plus.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively within a team setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with business continuity software/tools is advantageous.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Education: Advanced degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
