Position Overview:

The Logistics Optimization Specialist will systematically assess the client's logistics operations, providing insights for enhancement through comprehensive data evaluation and collaboration with both client and internal Armada teams. This role is integral to the client-facing team, addressing a variety of logistical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with client procurement and supply chain teams to identify opportunities for enhancing transportation and distribution efficiency.
  • Assist in product category proposals through cost analysis to optimize landed expenses.
  • Establish pricing structures and minimum order requirements for freight routes to align costs with revenue.
  • Facilitate communication regarding execution strategies and modifications across various internal and external teams.
  • Create and distribute reports detailing business activities to both client and internal stakeholders.
  • Leverage Armada's 24TRACC technology platform to implement supply chain processes effectively.
  • Monitor the client's freight variance account health by collaborating with Finance and Transportation Operations, conducting root-cause analyses, and coordinating with relevant parties to address negative financial outcomes.
  • Ensure synchronization of data between the client's catalog, distribution partners, and internal planning and operations teams.
  • Build and nurture relationships with internal and client teams.
  • Continuously communicate and illustrate the value of our partnership with the client.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Transportation, Warehousing, and Inventory Management.
  • 1-3 years of experience in data analysis.
  • Preferred: Experience in developing or utilizing logistics-related modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tibco Spotfire, Tableau, or Qlikview is advantageous.

Language and Technical Skills:

  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) with internal and external clients.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access; knowledge of SQL and ability to program Macros (VBA) is a plus.
  • Capability to aggregate, manipulate, and automate data.
  • A data-driven, detail-oriented approach to analysis and problem-solving.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
