Job Title: Director of Quality and Risk Management

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Quality and Risk Management to join our team at Gilder Search Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care within a skilled nursing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance and Improvement:
    • Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Conduct regular audits of patient care records to identify areas for improvement.
    • Analyze data from incident reports, infection control reports, and patient satisfaction surveys to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute quality improvement plans.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented quality improvement initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure the facility meets all state and federal regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare for and participate in state and federal inspections and surveys.
    • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and ensure staff are informed and trained accordingly.
  • Staff Education and Training:
    • Provide education and training to nursing staff on quality assurance processes and best practices.
    • Develop and conduct in-service training sessions on quality improvement, infection control, and patient safety.
    • Mentor and support staff in implementing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality assurance records and reports.
    • Generate and analyze reports on quality metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
    • Present findings and recommendations to the leadership team and staff.
    • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
    • Address patient and family concerns related to care quality.
    • Collaborate with clinical staff to develop individualized care plans that meet patient needs.
  • Performance Improvement:
    • Lead performance improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes and staff performance.
    • Utilize evidence-based practices to guide quality improvement efforts.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State].
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a quality assurance or quality improvement role in a healthcare setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing skilled nursing facilities.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient in data analysis and report generation.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
