Job Title: Senior Contracts Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Specialist to join our team at the National Education Association. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in managing the organization's contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, mitigating risks, and optimizing contract terms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish source selections and identify preferred services and products
  • Oversee the entire contract process, from negotiation and review to execution and maintenance
  • Draft, negotiate, and finalize purchase orders and contracts for the purchase of services and products
  • Assist in the development and implementation of contracting and procurement policies and procedures
  • Evaluate price quotations and recommend final supplier selection
  • Prepare and issue Request for Proposals as necessary
Requirements:
  • Eight years of directly related work experience involving purchasing, supplier selection, and contract negotiations
  • Significant experience drafting, negotiating, and administering Fixed-Price, time-and-materials, and commercial contracts
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced professional team environment
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) certification
  • Excellent negotiating and influencing skills through written and verbal communication
  • Solid experience in management reporting and executive presentations
  • Ability to plan and coordinate tasks
