Position Overview

The HVAC Systems Technician is responsible for executing assigned system commissioning tasks utilizing Johnson Controls' specialized configuration and commissioning tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve fundamental HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
  • Load software onto system-level controllers and conduct basic commissioning and diagnostics from controllers to end devices, such as sensors and actuators.
  • Complete all necessary commissioning documentation accurately.
  • Maintain open communication with management and relevant stakeholders regarding job progress and any arising issues.
  • Calibrate systems using basic electronic testing equipment.
  • Perform administrative duties, including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
  • Document modifications and provide information for as-built documentation.
  • Engage with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and prior to departure from the work site.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in mandatory safety training, prioritizing the safety of employees and subcontractors.
Qualifications

Basic computer skills are required. Depending on the location, specific licensing may be necessary for the mounting and termination of low voltage devices. A minimum of two years of experience in the installation of electronic and/or mechanical systems is preferred.
