Key Responsibilities

- Execute system commissioning tasks utilizing Johnson Controls' specialized configuration and commissioning tools.

- Diagnose and rectify fundamental HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control issues.

- Address basic warranty inquiries.

Execution Approach

  • Install system-level controller software and conduct basic commissioning and diagnostics from controllers to end devices (e.g., sensors, actuators) while completing necessary commissioning documentation.
  • Keep management and relevant contractors or customers updated on job status and any arising issues.
  • Calibrate systems using basic electronic testing equipment.
  • Manage administrative responsibilities, including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
  • Record modifications and supply information for as-built documentation.
  • Communicate with contractors or customers upon arrival and prior to departure from the work site.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in mandatory safety training, prioritizing the safety of employees and subcontractors.

Required Skills

  • Proven technical proficiency.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws).
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and listening abilities.
  • Depending on the location, specific licensing may be required for the installation and termination of low voltage devices.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Skills

  • A minimum of two years' experience in the installation of electronic and/or mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems.
