Our client, a premier provider of perimeter security solutions established in 1991, is in search of dedicated Field Service Technicians to enhance their team. With a vast portfolio of over 4,000 commercial and industrial sites relying on their state-of-the-art security systems, your contribution will be vital in deterring crime and safeguarding valuable assets.

Role Highlights

As a Field Service Technician, you will represent our client by delivering top-notch maintenance and repair services for innovative perimeter security systems. This position entails regular travel, typically within a 300-mile radius, to ensure the continuous operation of our clients' systems around the clock.

Compensation & Travel Details

  • Hourly Wage: $28 - $33, based on experience and geographical location
  • Travel Schedule: Monday to Friday, with nightly per diem provided

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Queue Oversight: Manage and strategically organize your tasks to meet service time commitments.
  • Daily Task Prioritization: Ensure prompt job completion while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Maintenance & Upgrades: Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, implement technology upgrades, and perform minor enhancements to core products.
  • Client Communication: Keep both internal and external clients informed with timely updates.
  • Team Support: Assist fellow technicians as required.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate company vehicles safely and adhere to traffic regulations.
  • Inventory Control: Manage van inventory and coordinate equipment rentals.
  • Reporting Duties: Accurately complete and submit weekly reports on time.
  • Collaborative Work: Work effectively with team members.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to Travel: Availability for travel from Monday to Friday.
  • Valid Driver's License: A clean driving record is essential.
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of relays, electrical components, and wiring is required. Experience with access control systems or fire alarms is advantageous.
  • OSHA Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
  • Personal Attributes: Must be coachable, innovative, team-oriented, and professional.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift heavy objects and climb ladders up to 30 feet.
  • Background Verification: A clean criminal background is necessary due to licensing and certification prerequisites.
