Position Overview for Account Administrator
The Account Administrator plays a crucial role in assisting Account Managers and Benefits Consultants in the administration of employee benefits accounts, emphasizing meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills. This position requires delivering exceptional customer service, fostering professional relationships with clients, and providing clerical and administrative support to the Benefits team as needed. Compliance with ethical standards set forth by the Colorado Department of Insurance and PIIAC is essential.
Key Responsibilities
The following are key duties associated with the Account Administrator role, along with potential additional responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external clients, addressing inquiries and offering eligibility information.
- Assist in resolving client issues of varying complexity under the supervision of Account Managers, including matters related to eligibility, claims, and billing.
- Manage ID card requests and facilitate address updates with carriers for employer groups as necessary.
- Support the processing of Applications and Terminations, ensuring accurate and timely handling of employee enrollments, changes, and terminations while adhering to carrier protocols and maintaining electronic records.
- Keep the Brokerage Builder system current with policy modifications promptly.
- Assist in preparing open enrollment materials during new group submissions or renewals, providing administrative support in the organization and preparation of materials.
- Help generate rate confirmation and termination letters for clients under the guidance of Account Managers.
Qualifications and Criteria
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current or the ability to obtain a Colorado Life, Accident, and Health License within 90 days of employment.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel; familiarity with Brokerage Builder is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated customer service and teamwork abilities to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, and management.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks to work efficiently under deadlines.
- Effective problem-solving skills are essential.
The compensation is $21.25 per hour, based on experience and licensing.
